Art Supplies

These are supplies Grey uses on traditional art pieces. They're all trusted, professional quality art tools. The included links on Amazon give Grey a small kickback, but you are in no way obligated to use them. Support local art stores when you can!

A soft, creamy blue pencil which easily drops out of scanned ink artwork.

Pencil-alternative capable of extreme precision, but more durable than mechanical pencil "leads". They're actually graphite.

Don't forget spare lead and a sharpener.

A measuring tool for proportions, especially useful in life drawing.

A deep black-inked fineliner which tends to be juicier than other similar brands. I use the linked 0.3 for lineart details and the 0.8 pen for panel borders.

A nice, portable watercolor set.

An ergonomic fountain pen with a high quality nib. For comics, I find the F nib most useful, followed by the M.

For an extra $10-15, there's an upgraded variant called LAMY LX with an even nicer nib.

Intense pigment, softer core, and highly blendable. On par with pencils double their price.

Spiral-bound 9x12", my favorite basic sketchbook.

A white rubber eraser with nice, sharp angles for precision erasing. Great for stubborn pencil marks.

A nice-quality rubber eraser with lots of useful angles.

Refillable water brushes make travel watercolor muuuch easier to handle.

My favorite inking brush in a snappy size 4.

The nicer nib I mentioned previously. This fits lots of LAMY pen models, including the more affordable LAMY Safari.

Support your wrists and fingers, please, they are important. 🙏
